About Me

This is the section where I tell everyone about me.

My name is Amanda and I’m a sinner saved by grace, the second eldest of 8 children (oldest girl - it counts!), and blessed by a set of awesome parents! This season of life finds me in my mid-twenties, living at home with my great family, and striving to enjoy my single years to the fullest.

I work two part-time jobs and enjoy them both. A Christian environment and awesome coworkers make a world of difference!

In my free time I like to spend time with my siblings and friends. We usually engage in fun activities such as Ultimate Frisbee, night games of Capture the Flag, rock climbing, bowling, game nights, and movie watching. Growing up, I loved to read, write, and play piano, but as I’ve gotten older life has sadly left me with much less time for them.

Country is where it’s at for me! Nothing better than driving with the windows down and radio cranked up on a breezy summer day. Follow that up with some R&B, Celtic, and the occasional soundtrack and I’m one happy camper.

Growing up my favorite authors were Louisa May Alcott and G.A Henty. I love curling up on a cold or rainy day with a good cup of tea in hand accompanied by An Old Fashioned Girl or For the Temple or maybe even a Hardy Boy book or two. You can never forget childhood classics.

At the end of a work day, I love kicking back with my sisters and watching a good movie or TV show. Smallville is the current guilty pleasure, but I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Pride&Prejudice, 27 Dresses, Hoosiers, or any of the upcoming super-hero films.

Now that you know a few of my random points of interest, you’re probably wondering what you should expect. To be fair probably a little bit of everything, but most often you’ll likely find the ramblings of a young woman on this journey called life. So hang on tight because sometimes it’s a crazy ride!
